TOKYO - Japan's Beijing threatened that they would launch a military action if Tokyo persist with its attitude towards the dispute in the South China Sea (LCS). Chinese officials are reported to have conveyed the warning to a high official of Japan.

According to diplomatic sources, quoted by Japan's Kyodo news agency, the Chinese ambassador to Japan Cheng Yonghua said Japan would pass the 'border' if the Japanese ship involved in the operation of navigation freedom of the United States (US) in the LCS.

Not quite up there, Yonghua even said, Beijing will not hesitate to take military action. Cheng, as quoted by a Japanese official, said that China will not recognize the issues of sovereignty and is not afraid of military provocation as quoted by the IB Times, Monday
(08/22/2016).

China's stern warning allegedly occurred in June and at its peak the territorial tensions with other countries. The trigger was an international arbitration court ruling that rejected the unilateral klaimkedaulatan China in the
region related to the case filed by the Philippines.
Japan and China are not involved in the dispute in the
LCS. Even so, the two countries locked horns in the
territorial dispute in the East China Sea. Both were
involved in a dispute over the Senkaku islands.
