According to Gatot analysis, there are two border areas that have the potential threats. Both namely, South China Sea and the Australian border around Pulau Masela.

Australia being built landing craft, this should be wary," said Billy at Trisakti University, West Jakarta, Friday (11/11/2016).

Another potential threat, said Billy, come from the South China Sea region. China currently imposes air defense zone in the region. The policy was called by Billy could conflict surrounding countries.

Not only enforces air defense zone, China also impose an exclusive economic zone in the waters around Natuna. "Some time ago there was a Chinese fishing vessel are searching for the Coast Guard escorted fish. Implicitly, the waters China considers part of its territory," said Billy.

Aside from the border region, the potential threat is also emerging of defense cooperation between the Five Power Defence Arrangements (PFDA), initiated by the British Commonwealth countries, namely Britain, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, and New Zealand.

According to him, the number of combined power PFDA very large. According to Gatot, the defense cooperation between the three countries should be wary because PFDA is located very close to Indonesia.
