WWIII - SYDNEY, Approximately 100,000 people will die within 48 hours if North Korea releases its missile and artillery arsenal. This estimate is the result of an Australian intelligence assessment.

Intelligence assessment was released Daily Telegraph Australia , Tuesday (25/4/2017). The analysis of the death toll is the main reason why the US is exploring more diplomatic options before taking military action against Pyongyang's regime led by Kim Jong-un.

The Australian media claims to have been told by intelligence people that North Korea is developing a submarine capability that could pose a threat to Australia.

Kim Jong-un's regime has threatened to launch a nuclear strike against the United States and its allies, including Australia. However, the Canberra underestimated the threat by believing Pyongyang does not have such capabilities.

According to intelligence assessments, the estimated death toll could come true if Kim Jong-un attacks Seoul with missiles and artillery. North Korea has thousands of artillery tubes ready to fire ammunition to Seoul and it could be its first attack.

Intelligence sources said that the development of a submarine of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) -the official name of North Korea-has become a threat to Australia.

The Foreign Ministry of the DPRK has previously issued an angry statement addressed to Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop. The ministry said Bishop had issued a series of "junk" comments on the DPRK.

Bishop's comments, among other things, are calls to the international community to disarm North Korea. For Pyongyang, nuclear weapons are a right to defend themselves against foreign aggressors.

"This is entirely due to the growing US nuclear threat and its hostile anachronistic policy towards the DPRK so that the situation on the Korean Peninsula is close to the threshold of war," the ministry said.

"If Australia continues to follow US steps to isolate and hold the DPRK and remain a hostage hostage brigade of the US, it will be a suicide to be within the reach of a strategic nuclear strike of the DPRK," the ministry continued.
