WWIII - SYDNEY, North Korea called Darwin's territory, Australia, where hundreds of United States (US) marines were deployed as nuclear battles. Australia laughed at the threat of Pyongyang's nuclear attack to Darwin.

Hundreds of US marines have landed in Darwin since last week. Washington plans to deploy up to 1,250 marines to Darwin and will last up to six months to do joint exercises with the Australian military.

However, the US military commander in charge of Darwin, Lieutenant Colonel Brian S Middleton, said the US marines are ready to fight if their country is in direct conflict with North Korea.North Korea via Rodong Sinmun newspaper - the North

Korean Workers' Party - considers the US has used the Australian territory as preparation for nuclear war. "This is the largest US military presence in Australia after World War II," the North Korean media reported in an editorial.

"America prepares for nuclear war in various military placements abroad," the paper continued. "America is fanatical, awkwardly trying to optimize its nuclear war preparedness."

The editorial comes after the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK-Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the official name of North Korea-warned that the government of Prime Minister of Australia Malcolm Turnbull not to blindly and diligently follow the path of US policy.

"This is entirely due to the rising nuclear threat from the US and its hostile anachronistic policy towards the DPRK, so the situation on the Korean Peninsula is approaching the threshold of war," the ministry said in a statement.

"If Australia continues to follow US steps to isolate and retain the DPRK and remain a hostage hostage brigade of the US, it will be a suicide to be within range of a nuclear strike from the DPRK's strategic strength," the ministry statement said.

But Australian Defense Industry Minister Christopher Pyne laughed at North Korea's latest claims. Pyne told ABC on Tuesday (25/4/2017), saying that the placement of US marines in Darwin has been a long-standing government policy.

"This is by no means a preparation for 'tearing' on the Korean Peninsula," he said. "Obviously, we want to avoid such military action and we want the North Koreans to behave like reasonable international citizens," Pyne continued.

"That means ending their missile tests and not preparing for a nuclear war either with the United States, Japan, South Korea or anyone else for that matter," Pyne added.Pyne said North Korea does not yet have the ability to

put nuclear warheads on a ballistic missile that will reach Australia.

"And one of the reasons why the Trump government has reinforced its stance on North Korea is to avoid North Korea having that ability. And for that reason, Australia supports US action very strongly, "he said.

"And we ask China to take the lead role as the country with the greatest influence over North Korea in making it happen."
