DAMASCUS - Syrian Foreign Ministry called the President of the United States (US) Donald Trump should look in the mirror first before issuing the statement. It is a response to a number of statements attacking Trump Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Trump is known to have a number of epithets against Assad. He had called Assad a butcher, a bad guy, and the latest Trump calling Assad a wild beast.

Trump's statement appears in an exclusive interview with Fox Business earlier in the week, where Trump blamed the current situation in Syria on Moscow's support against Assad. Trump then called the Syrian leader of an animal.

"If you are a 'beast', no need to think of other people with you," said Deputy Foreign Minister of Syria, Ayman Susan in a statement, as reported by Russia Today on Saturday (15/4).

"One to remember, Bashar Assad is the president of a sovereign country, he was elected by the people. Therefore, only the Syrian people who have to provide a description, not Trump," he continued.
