WWIII - NEW YORK, The UN Security Council meeting forum on North Korea's nuclear crisis is sparked by fierce debate. The United States said it was time to take military action against Pyongyang, but China and Russia denounced the threat.

Beijing, which Washington has been pressing to control Pyongyang under the pretext of its main ally, rejects the pressure. In front of 15 members of the UNSC, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, said responsibility for solving the North Korean problem was not borne by Beijing alone.

"The key to solving the nuclear issue on the peninsula (Korea) does not lie in the hands of China," Wang said. "It is necessary to set aside the debate over who should take the first step and stop debating who is right and who is wrong," the Chinese Foreign Minister added. "Now is the time to seriously consider continuing the negotiations."

But US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson argues with Wang's argument. "We will not renegotiate our trip to the negotiating table with North Korea, we will not appreciate the violation of the past resolution, we will not appreciate their bad behavior with the negotiations," Tillerson replied.

The US secretary of state urged the UN Security Council to act before the North takes dangerous action first. He asked various countries to sever diplomatic and financial ties with Pyongyang.

"Failing to act now on the most pressing security issues in the world can bring catastrophic impact," Tillerson said. The United States, Tillerson said, did not encourage the change of the Pyongyang regime and had chosen a negotiated solution. But Pyongyang, for its own sake, has to dismantle its nuclear and missile programs.

"The threat of a nuclear strike in Seoul or Tokyo is real, and it's only a matter of time before North Korea develops the ability to attack the US mainland," Tillerson said.

Tillerson then repeated the attitude of Donald Trump government stating that all options-including military attack options-are on the table if Pyongyang survives with nuclear and missile development.

Tillerson's opinion was again opposed by Wang. According to him, military threats will not help. "Dialogue and negotiation is the only way out," he said. "The use of force does not solve the difference and will only lead to greater disaster," he continued, as quoted by Reuters on Saturday (29/4/2017).

Meanwhile, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov warned that the use of military force to solve the North Korean nuclear crisis is completely unacceptable."Aggressive rhetoric coupled with reckless muscle flexing has led to a situation where the whole world is seriously wondering whether there will be a war or not," he told a UN Security Council forum.

"One thoughtful or misunderstood move can lead to the most terrifying and sad consequences."
