WWIII - Two Chinese Su-30 fighter jets INTERCEPTED US Air Force RADIATION DETECTION AIRCRAFT ON WEDNESDAY . The incident took place over the East China Sea, according to the US Pacific Air Force Command (PACAF).

According to a PACAF spokesman, Lieutenant Colonel Hodge, a crew on board a US Air Force's WC-135 aircraft called the intercept action as unprofessional. "While we are still investigating the incident, preliminary reports from US crew members describe the intercept action as unprofessional action, the issue being dealt with China through the proper diplomatic and military channels," Hodge said as quoted by CNN on Friday (19/5 / 2017).

Earlier, a US official told CNN that the Chinese jets were within 150 feet of the US aircraft. He even mentions one of the Su-30 aircraft flew overhead on the US plane. Nicknamed "Phoenix Constant," WC-135 jet four engines look for distinctive elements, a nuclear test of any kind that radiates into the air. The collected sample can be analyzed to know exactly what happened.

According to US officials, WC-135 has been routinely deployed on routine missions in Northeast Asia. The aircraft has been used in the past to collect evidence of a possible nuclear test by North Korea.

A WC-135W aircraft made flights and landing drills at the Offutt Air Force Base. The US Air Force has two WC-135 jets operating outside Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska. Wednesday's incident is the second between US and Chinese aircraft this year. In February, US defense officials said there was an "unsafe" encounter between the US Navy Orion P-3 and a Chinese watchdog over the South China Sea.

In the incident, a US official told CNN that a US Navy aircraft must change its course to ensure there is no collision with the KJ-200 aircraft belonging to the Air Force of the People's Liberation Army. The plane was close to each other, US officials said.

Following the February incident, US officials said that meetings between US and Chinese troops were extremely rare, without such incidents by 2015 and two by 2016.
